Barclays research shows that staycations are set to be worth £31billion to the UK economy in 2021 as holidaymakers choose to leave their foreign holidays for another year.

About the speakers:

 

Leading the global marketing and content strategy for LIVENow, James Sutcliffe is focused on building a world-class brand via exceptional live content and fan experiences. With teams in Italy, the UK and the US, his priority is to carefully curate content from the world of sport, music, comedy, fitness and culture for global audiences; building a content slate through rights acquisition, co-productions with brand partners and original formats created inhouse.

 

James joins LIVENow from Monster Energy where he initially led the EMEA music strategy for the company’s portfolio of brands. This saw him curating the Relenteless Stage at Leeds Festival and signing key partnerships with Stormzy, Elrow, Live Nation, Carl Cox, Pete Tong, London Warehouse Events and International Music Summit. Laterally as Marketing Director, he drove brand strategies that connected Monster’s portfolio to key audiences via culture; partnering with UFC, Lewis Hamilton, F2 Freestylers, nine Premier League Clubs, National Student E-Sports, Aitch and Post Malone.

 

Natalie Douglas is head of marketing at Pensthorpe Natural Park, a 700-acre nature reserve in Norfolk, and has been working in the marketing industry for over twenty years. After beginning her career as a brand manager at Warner Bros, Natalie has worked for a variety of high-profile brands including Greene King, Aviva as well as working with the McCartney Family, with highlights including taking businesses from Ltd to Plc status, Intellectual Property partnerships and licences, large sporting contracts and global media transitions. Natalie has also specialised in the leisure and tourism industry as head of marketing and communications at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure as well as a consultant.

 

Now at Pensthorpe, Natalie is responsible for creating and implementing the marketing strategy for the park, and manages all on-site events. With a focus on visitor numbers and revenue, whilst simultaneously heightening the park experience for the public, Natalie also develops strategic partnerships for the brand, manages agency partners and progresses new investment opportunities. Alongside her day-to-day role, Natalie runs her own marketing consultancy business encompassing a portfolio of property and food and drink clients; she also studies behavioural science in her spare time and sits on the board of a behavioural science group.

 

A former journalist, Pete Waters manages Visit East of England which also operates Visit Norfolk and Visit Suffolk. VEE gives the region’s tourism industry a voice at a national level, and works with all other destination organisations and local authorities in Norfolk and Suffolk.

 

Louise Birritteri is the CEO and Founder of Pikl, the first in the UK to market insurance products specifically designed for hosts who let their properties over the short-term. Pikl have a range of products designed to run alongside standard home, holiday home and landlord policies from any insurance provider. Many of these products are industry firsts, and people can buy the cover they need ‘on-demand’, from a broker or direct, at a fixed daily price, for pretty-much any period they like.
